I will not be blogging for the next couple of weeks as we leave this weekend for Europe. We pick up a new car in Stuttgart, Germany and drive through Southern Germany stopping to visit friends in Munich, and then over Tyrolean Alps across the Brenner Pass into Austria. A day in Innsbruck followed by a few days dawdling along the Italian lake district will get us to Tuscany.
In Tuscany we shall install ourselves at a villa for a week and gorge on Chianti and Tuscan food. Then we wander up northern Tuscany and into Switzerland stopping in Lugano on the border of Italy and Switzerland for a bit. A night in Zurich to re-visit some old haunts and we mosey on over to Munich to drop off the car for shipment home.
We stay the weekend in Munich to catch up with other friends, and fly home on Monday July 31.
