A new look

It's Spring! The lawns have cast off the drab brown cover of thatch and have started greening up in response to April showers. Little buds have started to sprout on trees signalling the burst of green foliage to come.

This blog too is getting a new look in keeping with the season. I became tired of the previous template, the Adirondack chairs in the backyard, and wanted to freshen things up. So what you see before you is the result of more wrestling with CSS.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if the older posts were left intact with the old template, and the display switched to the new template with the first post written in the new template? Like covers of old magazines, it's nice to see what the blog looked like before the new look went in. But that's not to be.

The resources required to accomplish that would not be huge, but it certainly would not be trivial. Having to store multiple templates for each blog and tags to identify the correct template to display with each post could be done, especially with the resources at Google's disposal.

Oh well..

A little back-story on the picture in the blog header: This is the view out our living room window, past an aspen that has just started to sprout leaves, towards the winding mountain road. The view out this window expresses the passage of seasons like nothing else.
